Why would you ever dream of spending £142.50 on a heavy metal stick that clicks? What could it possibly do to help your golf?
Well, here are a few reasons why golfers have been enjoying the benefit of using the Original SwingRite regularly for over 50 years:
- Gain distance with increased clubhead speed
- Build extra confidence to release the club fully and freely through the ball
- Improve your timing by simply listening and feeling for the click
- Enjoy more well struck shots without changing your technique
- Become more consistent and greatly reduce the number of miss-hit shots
- The Original SwingRite is so well engineered that it will last many years and save you the money you would normally spend on new drivers (it is probably already £50 cheaper than an average driver and will help you hit better shots with ALL your clubs including your current driver)
- It costs less than £15 per annum over 10 years
- It can be used by all the family including right and left-handed players as well as women and juniors
All 'Positive Impact Golf' coaches use the SwingRite Original and agree that it truly does what the manufacturer's mission statement says:
"To help golfers of all levels improve their swing, lower their handicap, and increase their enjoyment of the wonderful game of golf!"

I first came across the prototype of the Original SwingRite as a young assistant pro in the late 1960’s when its inventor, Mindy Blake, left it with me for a few weeks to get my opinion on it. I was impressed with the feeling it produced of releasing the club head and I have used it as a coaching tool ever since.
It was originally designed to fit into a pilot’s suitcase so that they could practice their swings in hotels anywhere they travelled. In those days, there weren’t many golf courses in far flung countries, so the Swingrite helped them keep their swings in shape when they were away from home. |
Good golfers know the importance of club head speed and acceleration through the ball. Quite simply, to get it to click you have to accelerate through the impact area. Once you discover how to achieve this speed the feeling stays with you. The Swingrite original tells you how to do it without you having to think about your technique. In the modern world of over-emphasis on positions this training aid will provoke you into using your best swing all the time without any analysis of how you’re doing it.
Tests show that most golfers put a lot of misguided effort into their swings but this energy doesn't get to the clubhead. In fact, I have established that many players simply try to swing too slowly through impact in an effort to gain control. What they achieve is a limit on their ability to swing the club and hit the ball to their potential. The Swingrite shows you how easy it is to let go and hit the ball further whilst gaining control.
It has variable speed settings so suits all levels of golfer and comes with pink ladies or black gents grips. It is also supplied with my personal advice on to how to get the best from your Swingrite Original.

This is what 18 handicap Sam has to say about her Swingrite Original which she purchased through Colin, her coach in Bournemouth,UK:
" After one lesson on the SwingRite I discovered that the way I was using my clubs on the downswing was completely wrong. I discovered that a slower, easier downswing was needed and not a quick, fast downswing. It also taught me that the impact contact point was nearer the ball on the downswing and not at the top of the downswing. It has transformed the way I strike the ball and have cut my hcp by 3 shots and feel more confident and know that I will continue to improve....I really cannot praise enough what I have learnt using the SwingRite."
This is what Craig Corrigan, PGA Coach at Haigh Hall Golf Club in Wigan, Lancashire says about the Swingrite Original:
"Swingrite is the only teaching aid I have found that gives pupils a sense of timing and a feel of how the club should be freely released. The tension can be adjusted easily to suit any players swing speed. The Swingrite Original is by far the best teaching aid I have used in over twenty years of teaching."
(Craig is not only a fine coach but has played in the British Open Championship, competed on the European and Asian circuits and scored a lifetime best 10 under par 62. He is one of the best pro golfers in the North Region)
This is what Jeffrey Young from Boaz, Alabama, USA, says after discovering the SwingRite with Brian Sparks at Positive Impact Golf:
"Sadly (for my golf game) I've spent more time designing golf courses than working on my game; due solely to inactivity my handicap has gone from a nine to near eighteen. However, I have definitely benefited form using the SwingRite trainer when practicing at home-and on the practice range or in the parking lot of a golf club that doesn't have a practice facility. My natural fault is to not complete the turn of my hips on my follow through, especially if I am nervous or tired. WHen using the SwingRite, I've noticed that if I do nothing but bring my belly and hips through completely (and quickly) I can make it "click". Then I notice that if I do that same thing on the golf course I hit the ball (at worst) somewhere in the fairway. Incidentally (to me), let me suggest that I do hit the ball twenty yards further off the tee if I am using a swing on the golf course that would "click" on the practice range. Regardless of a golfer's natural fault, if a person can make the SwingRite "click" with consistency he or she will be developing a swing that will produce (at worst) a satisfactory result. My golf pro suggested that if I only use one training device it should be the original SwingRite trainer. I purchased the SwingRite on his recommendation, and agree with him wholeheartedly."
This is what Geoff Bryant, President - United States Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF) has to say:
"In my opinion, every golf teaching professional should be utilizing the SwingRite training aid. Not only does it help students to understand the proper release in the golf swing but it's also fun to use."
How about this advice from Sean "The Beast" Fister - 3 time World Long Drive Champion:
"I have come to depend on the SwingRite to warm up before I practice and it definitely reduces the early mishits from warming up from the start with a driver."
Here's what Ted Sheftic - Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher- New Oxford, PA wrote to SwingRite's Kate Whitney:
"Kate, Just thought I would like to let you know about the success that I have had using your SwingRite training aid. I have used the SwingRite now for eight years, the students that have purchased SwingRite from me and have used it correctly have improved several areas of their swing, the most important improvement was the speed that they developed in hitting through the ball instead of hitting at it. I have one student Don Alwalt who purchased it from me and went from not being able to not be able to click it at 8 to a 1 today, he now hits the ball over 270 yards. My son Mark who is the lead instructor at Merion Golf Club enjoys teaching with Swing Rite. With repetitive SwingRite practice students will improve IMPACT, CLUBHEAD LAG, and develop so much more speed hitting through the ball. One other note: Swing Rite is designed to practice indoors, this can now be used with their exercise program. I endorse your SwingRite to anybody that wants to improve their swing. Thank you.
